Compassion, Acceptance and Mindfulness in Dance and Performing Arts Conference

We warmly welcome you to the Compassion, Acceptance and Mindfulness in Dance and Performing Arts Conference, a one-day international conference dedicated to exploring compassion-, acceptance-, and mindfulness-based approaches as embodied practices within dance and performing arts. The conference will take place on 13th October 2026 at the HAMU Gallery, Music and Dance Faculty, Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, and will be held both on-site and online via live stream.

About the conference

Dance and performing arts unfold through lived bodies, bodies shaped by training, expectations, and desire. As questions of well-being and mental health gain increasing relevance, there is a growing need to reconsider how dancers and other performing artists relate to themselves and to their own embodied experience. Compassion-, acceptance- and mindfulness-based practices offer an alternative lens through which dancers and other performing artists may explore care, sustainability, vulnerability, and resilience in creative processes.

Participation on site is free of charge.

    20 EUR / 500 CZK

  • Regular participants:
    30 EUR / 750 CZK

Late registration (after 30 August 2026):

  • Professional dancers, students, and early-career professionals:
    30 EUR / 750 CZK

  • Regular participants:
    40 EUR / 1,000 CZK
